Notwithstanding the provisions of section 19a-220, in the event of a public health emergency declared by the Governor under section 19a-131a, if any individual refuses to obey an order of quarantine or isolation issued by the commissioner pursuant to section 19a-131b, the commissioner may direct any law enforcement officer to immediately take such individual into custody and place him or her into quarantine or isolation, as the case may be. The commissioner shall notify the law enforcement officer or other personnel concerning any necessary infection control procedures required.(P.A. 03-236, S. 4.)History: P.A. 03-236 effective July 9, 2003.
