The Department of Public Health may apply for and receive money from public and private sources and from the federal government for the purpose of funding, in whole or in part, a comprehensive cancer program. Any payment to the state as a settlement of a court action of which the proceeds may be used for health shall be deposited in an account designated for use by the department for comprehensive cancer initiatives.(P.A. 06-195, S. 6.)History: P.A. 06-195 effective July 1, 2006.
