No criminal or civil penalty in this chapter shall apply to acts done by the publisher, owner, agent or employee of a newspaper or periodical, or radio or television station in the publication or dissemination of any advertisement, where such publisher, owner, agent or employee does not have actual knowledge of the false, misleading or deceptive character of the advertisement.(P.A. 76-281, S. 11; P.A. 91-163, S. 8.)History: P.A. 91-163 amended Sec. 21-35k to provide that no criminal or civil penalty in the chapter would apply to advertising media, rather than 'nothing in section 21-35b or 21-35h'.
