(a) The commissioner may adopt such rules and regulations as he finds necessary to administer and enforce the provisions of sections 21a-34 to 21a-45, inclusive, and he shall adopt such rules and regulations respecting suppliers and vending machines as he finds necessary for public health and safety.(b) Any municipality may, by agreement with the commissioner, adopt and enforce such health ordinances and regulations, not inconsistent with the purpose or policy of said sections or the regulations adopted by the commissioner thereunder, as it finds necessary for public health and safety.(1961, P.A. 579, S. 10.)History: Sec. 19-193j transferred to Sec. 21a-43 in 1983.
