(a) No person shall introduce or deliver for introduction into commerce any child restraint system which does not conform to the requirements in 49 CFR Part 571.213.(b) The Commissioner of Consumer Protection may (1) detain or embargo any child restraint system which does not conform to the requirements of 49 CFR Part 571.213 and (2) order repurchase of any child restraint system which does not conform to such requirements.(c) In addition to any other remedies at law, the commissioner may apply to the Superior Court for, and the court shall have jurisdiction upon hearing and for cause shown to grant, a temporary or permanent injunction restraining any person from violating subsection (a) of this section.(P.A. 93-292, S. 5; June 30 Sp. P.A. 03-6, thereby reversing the merger of the Departments of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective June 1, 2004.
