The Department of Agriculture shall be the lead agency for aquaculture development in this state. The department shall: (1) Coordinate the activities of other state agencies with regard to aquaculture; (2) act as a liaison between local and federal officials on matters related to aquaculture; (3) serve as a liaison between government and the aquaculture industry.(P.A. 94-227, S. 3; June 30 Sp.
