For the purposes of this chapter, 'lamp recycling facility' means a facility operated to remove, recover or recycle for reuse mercury, metals, phosphorous powder, gases, glass or other materials from fluorescent or high intensity discharge lamps. Such a facility shall be considered a volume reduction plant, as defined in section 22a-207, regardless of the volume of solid waste generated and shall not be subject to the requirements of section 22a-454 provided such facility is operated in compliance with federal law.(P.A. 95-139, S. 1, 2.)History: P.A. 95-139 effective June 7, 1995.
