The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection may offer a reward of up to one thousand dollars for information which leads to the imposition of a civil penalty for a violation of section 22a-250 or a conviction under section 22a-226a or 22a-226b, which reward may be paid out of any funds received by the state attributable to any civil penalty or fine imposed for any such violation.
