Any person who takes or carries away from the Thames River any oyster shells or seed oysters for the purpose of planting the same upon any private oyster bed, or who takes or carries away from said river, except from his own private bed or beds, more than ten bushels of oysters in any one day, shall be fined not more than two hundred fifty dollars.(1949 Rev., S. 5108; P.A. 12-80, S. 38.)History: P.A. 12-80 replaced penalty of a fine of not more than $7 or imprisonment of not more than 30 days or both with a fine of not more than $250.
