The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection shall adopt regulations, in accordance with chapter 54, to protect and restore eelgrass, including the protection of existing eelgrass beds from degradation, the development of a restoration plan to restore eelgrass and the periodic monitoring of the effectiveness of such measures to protect and restore eelgrass.(P.A. 02-50, S. 4; P.A. 11-80, S. 1.)History: P.A. 02-50 effective June 9, 2002; pursuant to P.A. 11-80, 'Commissioner of Environmental Protection' was changed editorially by the Revisors to 'Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection', effective July 1, 2011.
