The Adjutant General, with the assistance of the commander of the naval militia, shall, when not inconsistent with the laws and regulations governing the United States Army or the United States Navy, coordinate the respective services in all respects including communications, intelligence and logistics to maintain efficiency and economy in the military and naval establishments of the state. The commander of the naval militia shall appoint an officer of the naval militia who shall devote full time to active duty with the naval militia and who, under the direction of the commander of the naval militia, shall serve with the office of the Adjutant General in the administration of naval affairs.(1949 Rev., S. 1252; 1951, S. 858d.)
