Any person who knowingly purchases or receives in pawn or pledge any arm, equipment or article of military clothing or any commissary, quartermaster or ordnance stores, the property of the state of Connecticut or of the United States, shall be fined not more than three hundred dollars or imprisoned not more than one year or both.(1949 Rev., S. 1269.)
