On and after July 15, 2024, each emergency dispatcher employed by a public safety answering point established and operated pursuant to section 28-25a shall, when practicable, conduct a search of any electronic database made available to such public safety answering point pursuant to section 7-294qq, when dispatching law enforcement, fire fighting, medical, ambulance or other emergency services to a residential address, for the purposes of (1) determining whether a child or adult with an intellectual disability or other developmental disabilities, including, but not limited to, autism spectrum disorder, a cognitive impairment or nonverbal learning disorder resides at such address, and (2) communicating information concerning any such child or adult to any such responding emergency services personnel.(P.A. 23-137, S. 8.)History: P.A. 23-137 effective June 27, 2023.
