(a) As used in this section, 'space heater' means any heating device having a barometric fed fuel control, which has a fuel supply tank located less than forty-two inches from the center of the burner, adapted for burning kerosene, range oil or No. 1 fuel oil. On and after November 1, 1966, no person shall sell, offer for sale, install, use or allow to be used a space heater in any building used in whole or in part as a place of human habitation.(b) Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars.(February, 1965, P.A. 205, S. 1, 2.)History: Sec. 29-60a transferred to Sec. 29-318 in 1983.
