Nothing in section 32-7 or 32-8 shall be construed to prevent any municipality which has organized a redevelopment agency under chapter 130 from entering directly into contracts with the federal government for any benefits available to such municipality under the Federal Housing Act of 1954, as amended, or under any other federal act for housing or planning.(November, 1955, S.
