A charge for a stop payment order made in accordance with section 36a-317 by a bank, Connecticut credit union or federal credit union, as those terms are defined in section 36a-2, shall cover the initial stop payment order that is effective for six months under subsection (b) of section 42a-4-403 and the first six-month renewal of such stop payment order.(P.A. 00-15.)
