No stop loss policy may be issued or delivered in this state unless a copy of the stop loss policy form has been submitted to, and approved by, the Insurance Commissioner pursuant to regulations that the commissioner may adopt in accordance with chapter 54. Such regulations, if adopted, shall include, but need not be limited to, a definition of a stop loss policy and the standards for filing and review of stop loss policies.(P.A. 04-49, S. 2.)
