Except as herein provided, societies shall be governed by sections 38a-595 to 38a-626, inclusive, 38a-631 to 38a-640, inclusive, and 38a-800 and shall be exempt from all other provisions of the insurance laws of this state, not only in governmental relations with the state, but for every other purpose.
