Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of section 38a-702e, subsection (a) of section 38a-702f or subsection (a) of section 38a-702g, in addition to the grounds for denial of an insurance producer's license set forth in section 38a-702k, the Insurance Commissioner may deny an application for an insurance producer license if said commissioner determines such applicant is not properly qualified or trustworthy and that granting such license is against the public interest. The provisions of subsection (b) of section 38a-702k shall apply to any such denial.(P.A. 14-216, S. 2.)
