Whenever any elective state officer or his deputy or any state commissioner or his deputy is subpoenaed to appear before any court in any matter involving the state, he may delegate any assistant having knowledge of the facts in issue to appear for him, unless such summons is issued by a judge of the court before which such matter is pending, requiring the personal appearance of said commissioner.(P.A. 73-366.)Cited. 207 C. 77.
