§ 4.22

The Governor shall appoint one or more state chemists, who shall be sworn and shall hold office for two years, unless sooner removed by him, and who shall perform such duties as are or may be prescribed by law. The Governor, within ten days after such appointment, and the officer who administers the oath of office to any such state chemist, within ten days thereafter, shall each certify his action to the Secretary, who shall make a record thereof and may thereupon certify that such person has been appointed and sworn as a state chemist.(1949 Rev., S. 89.)
