(a) In any action brought by the state to enforce the provisions of sections 4-28k to 4-28p, inclusive, the state shall be entitled to recover, when it is the prevailing party, the costs of investigation, expert witness fees, costs of the action and reasonable attorneys' fees.(b) If a court determines that a person has violated the provisions of sections 4-28k to 4-28p, inclusive, the court shall order any profits, gains, gross receipts or other benefits from the violation to be paid to the state. Unless otherwise expressly provided in sections 4-28k to 4-28p, inclusive, the remedies or penalties provided by sections 4-28k to 4-28p, inclusive, are cumulative to each other and to the remedies or penalties available under all other laws of this state.(c) No person shall be issued a license or granted a renewal of a license to act as a stamper unless such person has certified in writing, under penalty for false statements, that such person will comply with sections 4-28k to 4-28p, inclusive.(P.A. 04-218, S. 7.)
