§ 4.287

Connecticut Title 4 — Connecticut law

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a final judgment rendered in favor of the state against a defendant in any criminal proceeding charging fraud or false statements, whether upon a verdict after trial or upon a plea of guilty or nolo contendere, shall estop such defendant from denying the essential elements of the offense in any action which involves the same transaction as in the criminal proceeding and which is brought in accordance with the provisions of sections 4-276 to 4-280, inclusive.(P.A. 14-217, S. 14.)History: P.A. 14-217 effective June 13, 2014.
