The provisions of sections 45a-578 to 45a-584, inclusive, shall apply to disclaimers made on or after October 1, 1981, provided disclaimers respecting transfers of property made before and applicable to estates of persons dying before October 1, 1981, shall be valid if made in accordance with the provisions of said sections in effect on September 30, 1981, or in accordance with other statutory or common law.(P.A. 83-520, S. 9.)History: Sec. 45-311a transferred to Sec. 45a-585 in 1991.
