§ 46b-116e

In any child custody proceeding in which the state court determines indigency, the parent or Indian custodian shall have the right to court-appointed counsel in any removal, placement or termination proceeding. The court may, in its discretion, appoint counsel for the Indian child upon a finding that such appointment is in the best interest of the child.(P.A. 23-113, S. 6.)History: P.A. 23-113 effective June 26, 2023.
