(a) Release of a report of genetic testing for parentage is controlled by the law of this state other than sections 46b-450 to 46b-553, inclusive.(b) A person who intentionally releases an identifiable specimen of another person collected for genetic testing under sections 46b-497 to 46b-512, inclusive, for a purpose not relevant to a proceeding regarding parentage, without a court order or written permission of the person who furnished the specimen, shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.(P.A. 21-15, S. 49.)History: P.A. 21-15 effective January 1, 2022.
