(a) Sections 47-33m to 47-33t, inclusive, do not apply to:(1) A mineral interest of the United States or an Indian tribe, except to the extent permitted by federal law.(2) A mineral interest of this state or an agency or political subdivision of this state, except to the extent permitted by state law other than sections 47-33m to 47-33t, inclusive.(b) Sections 47-33m to 47-33t, inclusive, do not affect water rights.(c) Sections 47-33m to 47-33t, inclusive, do not affect the meaning of the terms 'minerals', 'mineral interest', or 'mineral estate' for purposes other than said sections.(P.A. 87-283, S. 4.)
