A conversion tenant may, without penalty, terminate an existing lease before it expires at any time during a transition period after he receives a conversion notice, if he notifies the declarant of his intention to abandon thirty days in advance. A conversion tenant may abandon his unit at any time during a transition period on termination or expiration of his lease.(P.A. 83-474, S. 87, 96.)
