In an action by a lender for the foreclosure of a mortgage of residential real property, the homeowner shall make application for protection from foreclosure, under the provisions of sections 49-31d to 49-31i, inclusive, not later than twenty-five days after the return day.(P.A. 83-547, S. 7; June Sp.
