When, in the opinion of the Comptroller, a sufficient number of state employees who are members of a credit union organization of state employees desires to have payroll deductions for credit union savings, the Comptroller may deduct from each such employee's salary such savings as such employee designates in accordance with the rules of such organization, and the Comptroller shall remit the amounts so deducted to the treasurers of such organizations.(1967, P.A. 657, S. 68.)
