Any person imprisoned in any correctional institution who, prior to October 1, 1963, was sentenced under the provisions of section 53-10 of the general statutes to imprisonment in the State Prison for life without benefit of release as provided in sections 18-7, 54-125 and 54-130a shall be eligible for the same release benefits provided under said sections as any person sentenced to imprisonment for life after October 1, 1963.(February, 1965, P.A. 258, S. 1; P.A. 76-336, S. 25.)History: P.A. 76-336 replaced references to 'State Prison' with general reference to 'any correctional institution'.
