After December 1, 2000, the Chief Court Administrator shall require an applicant for employment as a judicial marshal pursuant to sections 6-32d and 6-32f to submit to a criminal record background investigation, to be conducted by the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
