Notwithstanding any general statute, special act or local law, ordinance or charter to the contrary, any municipality which has not adopted a merit system shall not impose restrictions on the political rights of its employees other than those provided in section 7-421.(P.A. 80-325, S. 2.)Cited. 41 CS 295.
