§ 8-265c

The authority shall require that occupancy of all housing financed or otherwise assisted under this chapter be open to all persons regardless of race, creed, color, national origin or ancestry, sex, gender identity or expression or erased criminal history record information, as defined in section 46a-80a, and that the contractors and subcontractors engaged in the construction or rehabilitation of such housing shall take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity for employment without discrimination as to race, creed, color, national origin or ancestry, sex, gender identity or expression or erased criminal history record information.(1972, P.A. 208, S. 11; P.A. 11-55, S. 5; P.A. 21-32, S. 13; P.A. 22-37, S. 7.)History: P.A. 11-55 prohibited discrimination on basis of gender identity or expression; P.A. 21-32 added provision re discrimination on basis of erased criminal history record information, effective January 1, 2023; P.A. 22-37 made a technical change, effective January 1, 2023.
