The clerk of a municipality shall forthwith notify the Secretary of the State in writing of any change in the date of the municipal election of such municipality or in terms of elected officials thereof, the date such action was taken, the effective date thereof, the manner in which or the authority by which it was taken, and reference to the law under which it was taken.(1969, P.A. 570, S. 6.)
