Each elector of President and Vice President of the United States shall receive ten dollars a day when attending upon the duties of his appointment, for which the Comptroller, on presentation to him of the certificate of the chairman of such electors, shall draw an order on the Treasurer.(1949 Rev., S. 3596.)
