The Secretary of the State shall transmit to the town clerk of each town, before each state election, blank forms for the returns required by this chapter, and such returns shall be made out, certified and directed according to such forms. The Secretary of the State shall cause to be printed in the several blanks, for the use of moderators and counters, such names of candidates for the several offices to be voted for as are certified to him by the chairmen of the state committees of the several political organizations in the state.(1949 Rev., S. 1083; 1953, S. 791d.)
