Whenever any town, city or borough has conducted a referendum in accordance with the provisions of any special act, or on the question of the acceptance of such act, or on the question of the adoption of any home rule charter or charter revision or amendment thereto, the clerk of such municipality shall, within fifteen days, notify the Secretary of the State, in writing, of the result of such referendum.(1959, P.A. 615, S. 21; 1971, P.A. 507, S. 2.)History: 1971 act added application of section to 'on the question of adoption of any home rule charter or charter revision or amendment thereto'.
