Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, no primary petition for town committee members shall be approved unless it contains the names of a number of candidates, other than party-endorsed candidates, equal in number to at least twenty-five per cent of the number of town committee members to be elected in the town or political subdivision, as the case may be.(1963, P.A. 503, S. 1.)
