There is established the 'Citizens' Election Fund', which shall be a separate, nonlapsing account within the General Fund. The fund may contain any moneys required by law to be deposited in the fund. Investment earnings credited to the assets of the fund shall become part of the assets of the fund. The State Treasurer shall administer the fund. Sess. P.A. 09-3 eliminated authority of commission to deduct certain administrative costs from fund, effective September 9, 2009.
