§ 1802

The General Assembly finds and declares that in the event of an emergency event, it is necessary to provide for special emergency judges who can exercise the powers and discharge the duties of judicial offices if regular judges are unavailable. The General Assembly finds and declares that the creation of special emergency judges does all of the following: (1) Assures continuity of government through legally constituted leadership, authority, and responsibility in offices of the government of the State. (2) Provides for the effective operation of government during an emergency. (3) Facilitates the early resumption of functions temporarily suspended.10 Del. C. 1953, § 1802; 53 Del.
