§ 1980

Whenever the index of the office of the Register of Wills, or the office of the Recorder, or the Court of Chancery for Sussex County needs renewing, revising, altering or recopying, or any of such records are not sufficiently indexed or are in need of a new or better system of ascertaining their contents, or needs renewing for preservation purposes, the Superior Court of Sussex County may order that a renewed, revised, altered, recopied or sufficient index be made of any such records.10 Del.
