(a) Subject to subsection (b) of this section, the State Escheator may do both of the following: (1) Exchange information with another state relating to property presumed abandoned or relating to the possible existence of property presumed abandoned. (2) Authorize in a record another state or foreign country or a person acting on behalf of the other state or country to examine its records of a holder as provided in § 1171 of this title. (b) An exchange of information or examination of records under subsection (a) of this section may be done only if the other state has confidentiality and security requirements substantially equivalent to those in § 1189 of this title or agrees in a record to be bound by this State's confidentiality and security requirements.81 Del.
