§ 2513

(a) The Attorney General may appoint 5 qualified persons to be state detectives who shall hold office at the pleasure of the Attorney General. The Attorney General may designate 1 of the appointees to be Chief State Detective, and each of the others shall be known as state detective. All of the state detectives shall perform duties anywhere, both within and without the State, under the direction of the Attorney General. (b) The salary of the Chief State Detective and the state detectives shall be fixed by the Attorney General within the appropriations made to the State Department of Justice.29 Del.
