Delaware Title 31 — Delaware law

The purposes of the Department of Health and Social Services shall be to: (1) Study and evaluate existing facilities and services for children and youth in this State; (2) Determine unmet needs in services and facilities for children and youth in this State; (3) Formulate plans and courses of action covering the unmet needs of children and youth; (4) Make recommendations to the Governor, to the General Assembly and to governmental and voluntary agencies, organizations and institutions, on all matters affecting children and youth; and (5) Study the findings and recommendations of the Mid-Century White House Conference on Children and Youth, and of the Delaware Committee thereof, and subsequent conferences, to stimulate interest in those findings and recommendations and to promote and encourage appropriate follow-up action on the part of governmental and voluntary agencies, organizations and institutions at state and local levels.48 Del.
