27. Existing notary public commission. A commission as a notary public in effect on December 4, 2018 shall continue until its date of expiration. A notary public who applies to renew a commission as a notary public on or after December 4, 2018 is subject to and shall comply with this chapter. A notary public, in performing notarial acts after December 4, 2018, shall comply with this chapter. (Dec. 4, 2018, D.C. Law 22-189, § 28, 65 DCR 11606.)
