Use, dissemination, or detonation of a weapon of mass destruction. (a) A person who uses, disseminates, or detonates a weapon of mass destruction capable of causing multiple deaths, serious bodily injuries to multiple persons, or massive destruction of property may, upon conviction, be punished by imprisonment for life. (b) A person who attempts or conspires to use, disseminate, or detonate a weapon of mass destruction capable of causing multiple deaths, serious bodily injuries to multiple persons, or massive destruction of property may, upon conviction, be punished by imprisonment for not more than 30 years. (c) In addition to any other penalty provided under this section, a person may be fined an amount not more than the amount set forth in § 22-3571.01. (Oct. 17, 2002, D.C.
