05. Commission on Poverty; resources and staff. (a) The Commission shall be supported by an Executive Director, who shall be a District resident appointed by the Mayor. (b) The Executive Director shall: (1) Report on a regular basis, as determined by the Chairperson of the Commission, to the Commission; (2) Assist in the preparation of the poverty-reduction plan and annual reports, conduct the administrative activities of the Commission, and perform other duties, as directed by the Chairperson of the Commission; and (3) Hire and supervise other Commission staff, as the approved Commission budget permits.
