04. Report on full deployment of autonomous vehicles. Within one year after October 1, 2021, the Department shall transmit to the Council a report that provides recommendations to safely accommodate the deployment of autonomous vehicles on public roadways for commercial, personal, and any other use the Department determines. The report may include draft legislation or regulations. (Apr. 23, 2013, D.C. Law 19-278, § 3d; as added Dec. 23, 2020, D.C. Law 23-156, § 2(c), 67 DCR 13048.) Applicability Section 7186 of D.C. Law 24-45 repealed section 3 of D.C. Law 23-156 removing the applicability provision impacting this section. Therefore the creation of this section by Law 23-154 has been implemented. Section 7186 of D.C. Act 24-159 repealed section 3 of D.C. Law 23-156 removing the applicability provision impacting this section. Therefore the creation of this section by Law 23-154 has been implemented. Applicability of D.C. Law 23-156: § 3 of D.C. Law 23-156 provided that the creation of this section by § 2(c) of D.C. Law 23-156 is subject to the inclusion of the law’s fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan. Therefore that amendment has not been implemented.
