09. Social Security numbers. (a) An individual required to prepare and file a report of live birth shall include in the report the Social Security number or numbers of each parent, if the parent has more than one Social Security number. The Social Security numbers shall not appear on the record of live birth. (b) The parent's Social Security number shall be collected during the birth registration process by the Registrar and made available to the IV-D agency for the establishment, modification, and enforcement of a support order.
